The Mars oval sticker has the astronomer’s symbol for the planet Mars.  Astronomers have a unique symbol for each planet.

Mars is the fourth planet out from the sun. It’s orbit has the most eccentricity (deviation from a perfect circle). Kepler used this fact to postulate that most orbits were ellipses rather than perfect circles. Newton later used this information in formulating the Universal Law of Gravitation.

The symbol for Mars includes an arrow to remind us of Mars, the Roman god of war. Mars definitely has a red tinge to it, which is one of the reasons it was named after the god of war. You may also recognize this symbol as the one for males. (Men are from Mars, women are from Venus.)
